Hollywood Hair for Spring

The celebrities of Hollywood are always in the know when it comes to the latest fashion – no matter what you’re looking for. Looking for a new hairdo to kick off this spring season? Here are some of the most popular trends we love in hair styles and color and how to do them right.

  Banging Bangs

We love T. Swift’s signature bangs. With more celebs switching it up with this edgy look, in 2013 they have definitely made their mark. Depending on how you get your bangs cut and styled – long, short, feathered, flat, curled up, or choppy – the straight across your face bangs are the way to go. Even if you don’t have time to do all of your hair in the earliest of mornings, bangs play up sophistication in throwing up your hair in a pony tail. It’s a very youthful look, but gives a little vixen mystery in your eyes. (Taylor Swift)

  Reverse Ombre

First came the widespread fad of the ombre…and then came the ever-so contemporary reverse ombre. Instead of going dark roots to light tips in your hair color, go light to dark. Having the lightened hair at the top of your head and surrounding your face really brightens it up – especially with a pretty smile! It will compliment the soft colors and hues that are expected in fashion for Spring and Summer 2013. Just make sure you choose colors that will give your hair an almost natural blend. The changing in color should be subtle and not a harsh definition. (Jessica Simpson)

Faux Hawk

I have heard from so many of my girl friends that chopping off their hair was the best decision they’ve ever made – mainly because it’s so low-maintenance. If you want to pull off short hair, but like to style it here and there, try cut suited for a faux hawk. Instead of keeping it short on top, leave yourself with some length so there’s plenty to play with. All you need is a hair brush and some product (moose or a pomade will do) to run through your fingers. There are two main ways to achieve this look. One is a nice, more traditional faux hawk that you’ve seen sported by Ellen Degeneres or Miley Cyrus. The second is featured on Halle, which is free, easy, and all around pretty. (Halle Berry)

Rainbow Bright

Colored hair isn’t just for punks anymore. Hollywood has adopted this rebellious salutation and brought it out on the red carpet, but they’re keeping it classy. Colored hair can be too much if you look like you’re about to stop traffic for a construction site. If you’re new to color play, I recommend sticking to a color that is not too far from your natural color. For example, if you’re a dark brunette, go for a maroon base. It’s predicted that pastel hairs will be emerging quite a bit; lavender, pink, and blues. Embrace your inner mermaid. (Kelly Osbourne)

Ok. I wish I could do a faux hawk, I would love to have that bravery! I love bangs though and after years and years of not having them I am really loving mine!
Ella P.:
I love Taylor Swift's hairstyle. Looks very feminine :) I've been wanting to try Michelle Williams' pixie cut but sadly, I just don't have the guts to do it :(
