Love is Blue – Dress from Plenty by Tracy Reese

TRACY REESE NORDSTROMS BLUE LACE DRESS

Sometimes the best shot is the one that no one is expecting.

Sometimes I can feel a moment forming on the other side of my lens, and I wait patiently with my focus drawn for the moment to materialize, whether it be a slip of a smile, a certain gaze, or some small gesture. Though photography’s ability to instantly capture a scene burdens it with the truth, the reality is that there is always some sort of posed performance happening. It is in candid photos that our humanity seeps out, unguarded, uninhibited, and unashamed.

You will adore this gorgeous lacy blue dress from Plenty by Tracy Reese as much as our model did in this stolen moment of admiration. Check back later this week for your chance own this romantic piece at a price you are sure to fall in love with.

Fringe Benefits

365-Hangers-002

Ever since MGMT appeared on the music scene with their whimsical “Electric Feel,” we’ve seen an interest in “tribal” inspired patterns, designs, and elements that are perfect for summer. Whether it’s an untamed statement or a nostalgia for sleep-away camp on the lake, this piece from Chelsea Flower combines tribal, bohemian, and sporty aspects in a dress that is fun, sleek, and modern.

The 100% silk shell provides a simple background for the dress’ beaded fringe, and a racer back cut and pockets add an updated touch to a look that recalls flower power and summer love-ins.

I felt so inspired by this piece that I asked our model to strike a few additional poses – this one is my favorite.

Just remember to wear some flowers in your hair.

Much love,
Liz
