A Day of Castings
Working on the show Castle today, and then I had a casting for a hair campaign. I had a 6:30 a.m. call time for the show, and I am playing a nanny. They want me to have a West Indian look, so I am going to wear a scarf. I was so exhausted, I didn’t even want to wear makeup.
I made it to set at 6 a.m., and even though they have an omlette bar and churizo and eggs, all I get is some fruit. When I got to wardrobe to get confirmation on my clothes, they ask me if I am playing one of the beautiful girls. I tell them I am the nanny. She looks at what I wore to set and approves it, but asks the other girl playing a nanny to change into a uniform. I don’t think she was happy about that.
I get some tea before we start shooting. We start shooting around 8:30, which is awesome, because the earlier we start the more they can get done. I only had until 4 p.m. to make it to the casting. I was done in about an hour and I was able to chill until lunch, which was Mongolian BBQ.
After lunch I was able to leave. I went into a bathroom in an office building to change, put on makeup, and do my hair. I am so happy I had access otherwise I would of had to do it in my car. I made it to Beverly Hills and there are only three girls in front of me. They take my Polaroid and I sit down to have the stylist look at my hair. She tells me my hair is amazing and I am so flattered because my hair is finally getting healthy again. She ask me how tall I am and for a headshot. I hope I get it. I head home for a beer and a nap, and to get ready for the promo job this weekend.
