DIY Spike and Pearl Earrings

We love Erin from Thanks I Made It almost as much as we love all of her DIY projects. Her Spike + Pearl earrings are super edgy and make for the perfect addition to any look. And now…for Erin:

Being able to play with different styles is what makes it fun to get dressed in the morning, and like many of you, I find it hard to pigeonhole myself into one particular fashion identity. I love combining contradictory styles, like classic with edgy. I’m not the pearl stud wearing type, nor am I one for spike earrings. But spikes and pearls together? That’s a match made in my sartorial heaven, and this DIY shows how it’s done. (I seem to be repeating myself: here’s a pearl and spike DIY necklace from the archives).

Tools and materials:
Pearl beads (mine are from Michael’s and had a slightly flat back, perfect for gluing onto something)
Earring posts and backs
Super glue
Small spikes (I used small screw on tree spikes, but did not use the screws they come with)

Very Cute and creative! I would definitely rock them! I might just get the stuff to make them tomorrow! Thanks for sharing the step by step instructions! I am going with gold!!!
Alexandria J. Tinnon:
I like them the way they are, but I would try and find some colored spikes of purple, hot pink, and green to make me some!
