It’s 1984 and Carrie Bradshaw is starting her career in New York City. Let’s take a look at a “blast from the past”…which is the same as the present. After all, history repeats itself!

Colored Pants.
Colored pants are an eye-catching addition to any dull outfit. We’re not saying a classic white t-shirt, black blazer, jeans, and a pair of boots isn’t great, but try this if you want to add some spunk to your outfit. Just make sure to color coordinate with neutral colors if you wear a bright colored pair of jeans like yellow, cyan blue or fuchsia. |

The Skater Skirt.
This is that single magical moment when skating and skirts come together… in high heels. Mid-thigh cut, high-waisted, textured pleats have passed the test of time and are especially cute for the office when paired with a button down blouse and kitten heels. |

Stir It Up.
The 80’s are known for neon, crazy patterns and poof. Put it together eloquently and you’ve got a stunning ensemble. Though this can be a challenging and scary thought for some fashionistas, if you have your colors, patterns, and textures set in accordingly, it works extremely well. If you’re going for a look like this, it’s good to ask for a second opinion. But if that second opinion speaks loudly against your instinct, go with your gut. Besides… YOLO, correct!? |

Preppy Sweater and Skinny Jeans.
It’s sweater season and we’ve got to keep it warm, and more importantly, comfy. If you’re going for a sweater and jeans, make sure the cuts of each complement each other more than anything. Leggings can be a great substitute as well but make sure your sweater is long enough to cover your bottom. Keep yourself cozy; the upmost intent of the sweater. |
