Street Style: Luminosity

Luminosity was a fashion show held at Cal Poly Pomona. It can be described as the quality of being brilliant, enlightened, and inspired. This was apparent when seeing the extravagant collections which ranged from swimsuits, bridal gowns, menswear, tea party dresses, and much more! The designers included students from Cal Poly, Mt. Sac, and FIDM. There were definitely a lot of creative individuals in the audience that were dressed to impress! Trends that were spotted: patterns, pop colors, and intricate details. Check out some of our favorite looks:

We absolutely loved the elaborate designs on Nadene’s outfit: the lace in her white bustier, bright and colorful patterns on her skirt, and her fishnets with floral lace at the thigh. Her outfit was so creative and unique, it’s no wonder her favorite place to shop is Nasty Gal.

Marissa’s look was so cute and simple. We loved the simple silhouetted pink dress with textured fabric. Our favorite part would have to be those adorable pumps with bows. This look is perfect for any night out! Her favorite place to shop is Forever 21.

We adored Iris’s unique look, and how she layered and used red as her pop color! She wore bright red leggings, a patterned tank, and an awesome knit vest. Her over-the-knee boots are to-die-for! Her favorite designer is Michael Kors.

Keisha looked so trendy and chic with her black and white striped pants, a button-up blouse and strappy heels. Her oversized leather handbag completes her contemporary look! Her favorite designers include Alexander McQueen and Balmain.

We love LBDs so we had to snap a shot of Angelica. She rocked her LBD with an all black ensemble. She looked very classy and elegant – perfect for a fashion show. Her favorite designer is Vera Wang.

Ashley rocked the simple and chic look with her button up collared shirt, and cute high-waisted skirt. She added black booties and a silver clutch which added the perfect finish to her look. Her favorite designer is Elie Saab which shows through the simple colors and gorgeous silhouette of her outfit.

We spotted Justine’s fun and flirty maxi skirt with a side slit, that she made herself! She paired this lovely skirt with white heels and a white crop top with small flower embroidery. Her favorite designer is Betsey Johnson and it shows with her creative and fun look!
