Focus on Yourself
I had so much fun at the party last night. I saw a preview for my friend’s Carlos’ film, and it just looked amazing. He got such amazing reviews from all the people there, it was a great night for him. I’m so proud of him; he’s such an amazing person, very focused on his work, and I’m so happy he’s finally getting recognized for all his hard work!
After, a couple of days of being on set, it’s time now to put my focus back on Likida. I need to do some paperwork today and I have a couple of meetings scheduled with the designer and photographer. Everything seems to take a long time to get done. I don’t know how many meetings I’ve had with the photographer and Web designer, trying to get the website the way I want it, and making sure that our bottles are being well displayed and advertised. I really need to get a meeting again with our marketing guy. We need to work out a plan for the next weeks, to do a couple more shows, and also once we have the new bottles, to introduce them in the market as well.
So many things to do, sometimes, I get a bit frustrated. There are so many things to be done in order to start your business full force, but I guess when you’re starting off, everything goes a little slower.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining. I’m having the time of my life, having my own business and doing the acting and modeling. What more could I ask for? I’m living my dream. But sometimes, you need to stop yourself and appreciate everything around you. It’s so easy to just keep going and never stop to appreciate the moment right now; it’s so easy to just live in a future mentality, living each day just thinking about all the other stuff you have to do the next day, not appreciating the present moment and being thankful for everything that you have. That’s why I feel meditating is so important. It gives you that necessary break from the craziness of everyday life, and gives you a chance to focus your energy back in the present and in yourself!!!
I just came from my yoga class and I feel very inspired and relaxed, that’s why my motivational speaker mode kicked in again!!
Ok, now really I need to focus on the present, which means right now I need to get down to business. I’m done checking all the paperwork, making sure that all the paperwork is up to date, and that all the customers got their bottles on time, and are happy with the product. I also had to go through a ton of emails. I really like being personable with the customers and make sure they are 100% satisfied, and if there are any problems, that they are immediately fixed! I think it’s important for people to know that we care about them at Likida and that they can expect nothing less than exceptional service!
After my yummy vegetarian wrap, which consisted of eggplant, sun-dried tomatoes, zucchini, goat cheese and, of course, garlic and olive oil, this combination is just amazing. I wrap everything up on a whole grain flatout flatbread. This wrap is so good, you have to try it, and the flatbread is loaded with fiber and very few calories. It’s really good for you, and it tastes so good!! Another example that healthy can be super delicious as well!!
I’m headed to urth café now for my first meeting. My black Helmut Lang dress fits just perfect. The color and length of the dress (below the knee) make me look professional and sophisticated, and just perfect for a warm sunny day in California. You never can go wrong with black!!
